Here you can find our Public transport in Barcelona Guide
Barcelona is a large place to visit, with iconic sites situated far from one another. Though this worries many visitors at first, the city is easy to get around thanks to the fast transportation links. You can choose from a wide variety of different methods of public transport such as buses, metros, trains and much more. Wherever you plan to go to, you will be able to reach it within minutes; the fares are also very reasonable! Buses, Trains, and metros are the popularly used public transport in Barcelona, though there are other methods of transport; such as the tram, funicular and cable cars.
Buses
Using the bus in Barcelona is very easy as well as accessible in many parts of the city. Consisting of over 1000 buses operating on 80 different routes, the bus system is the largest method of transport in Barcelona. No matter where you would like to go, there is always a bus stopping nearby. Time-wise, the buses tend to follow a strict schedule and are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes after the previous one. During the night, buses are operating under the name “Nitbus”; this service has 17 services running around the city. Excluding the N0 Bus, all the buses go through Plaça Catalunya, allowing you to change to other lines.

The trains operate all week with a set schedule to follow; each timetable can be found online. Furthermore, when you plan to transfer from the metro to a train, there are no extra fees to be paid as long as you’re in the same zone. Trams
In Barcelona, you can find six tram lines divided into two biggest networks, the Trambaix and Trambesós. It’s a very comfortable and quick way to move around Barcelona, but available only in two areas of the city. The Trambaix lines (T1, T2 and T3 ) run trough the area of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Cornellà de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí, Sant Just Desvern and Sant Feliu de Llobregat. With lines of Trambesós (T4, T5, T6) you will get from Port Olimpic to Badalona and Sant Adrià de Besòs. So, if you need a transport trough one of these areas, the tram can be a good alternative for metro o buses.
